"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

So, I just figured out how to put up my avatar, I'm quite proud of myself. It took me a bit of playing around with Photoshop to get the size right. And by playing around I mean being frustrated for about a half an hour. But now I have an avatar, yay! That means I'll probably be playing around with Photoshop more in a bit.
